This Privacy Policy explains how AcroLinq LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use AcroLinq, including our website, mobile application, and related services. AcroLinq is a mobile app and website for the acroyoga and partner acrobatics community.
Who can use AcroLinq
AcroLinq is intended for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Information we collect
- Information you provide directly, including names, email addresses, usernames, passwords or authentication data, profile information, privacy settings, event and skill submissions, reports, support requests, messages, photos, videos, and other content you choose to provide.
- Location-related information if you use location-based features, such as city, region, country, latitude, longitude, and location-sharing preferences.
- Device and app information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, browser or device characteristics, usage activity, diagnostics, logs, and similar technical information.
- Payment-related information for in-app purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. AcroLinq does not collect or store your full payment card number, payment instrument number, or card security code. Apple's privacy policy is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Sensitive information
Some information may be considered sensitive under certain privacy laws, including account login information, message contents, and precise geolocation. We process this information only as needed to provide the service, protect users, operate safety and moderation workflows, comply with law, or with your consent where required. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
How we use information
- Create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, provide profiles, event discovery, saved events, RSVPs, skill tracking, messaging, partner finder, map/location features, submissions, reports, moderation, support, account deletion, and privacy settings.
- Communicate with you, send administrative notices, respond to requests, improve the service, analyze usage trends, diagnose problems, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect users or the public.
Legal bases for processing
If you are in the EU, UK, Switzerland, or similar jurisdictions, we rely on legal bases including performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and vital interests.
Examples include using contract necessity to provide accounts and core app features; consent for optional location, cookies, or other consent-based features where required; legitimate interests for safety, moderation, fraud prevention, security, reliability, and product improvement; legal obligation for compliance; and vital interests for urgent safety situations.
How we share information
- With service providers that help us operate AcroLinq, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, backend functions, and app data hosting; Google Places / Google Maps Platform for place, venue, address, and location search; PostHog for product analytics; Sentry for crash, error, and performance diagnostics; Expo / EAS for app infrastructure, builds, and deployment services; Apple / App Store for app distribution and in-app purchases; and TestFlight for beta testing, if used.
- With other users according to your settings and the way app features work, for example profiles, messages, submissions, event details, or public content you choose to share.
- If required by law, valid legal process, safety needs, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, enforcement of our terms, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Google Places and Maps
AcroLinq uses Google Places / Google Maps Platform services for location-specific requests, such as searching for venues, addresses, and event locations. Information processed may include place search queries, selected place or address details, approximate or precise location coordinates when location features are enabled, event or venue location details, and technical information associated with API requests. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve AcroLinq. These technologies may help keep you signed in, remember settings, support app and website functionality, prevent crashes, fix bugs, understand usage trends, and improve reliability.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media advertising plugins, or abandoned-cart advertising reminders.
International transfers
AcroLinq is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States, Ireland, and other countries. If personal information is transferred from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries that may not provide equivalent protection, we use appropriate safeguards where required, including Standard Contractual Clauses or similar lawful transfer mechanisms.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide AcroLinq, maintain accounts, support safety and moderation workflows, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, and maintain business records.
When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymize personal information where practical. Some limited records may be retained where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety investigations, moderation history, dispute resolution, backups, or recordkeeping.
Security
We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a privacy-rights decision.

AcroLinq has not sold personal information or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding twelve months.
Community safety, moderation, and physical activity context
AcroLinq is designed for a community involving acroyoga, partner acrobatics, movement training, events, and in-person connections. We may process account information, profile information, messages, submissions, reports, media, activity information, and related records when reasonably necessary to operate safety, reporting, moderation, content review, abuse prevention, account enforcement, and dispute-resolution workflows.
AcroLinq does not verify every user's identity, qualifications, experience, health, physical condition, intentions, or conduct, and does not guarantee the safety of any user, organizer, teacher, venue, event, training session, or in-person interaction.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you in the app, by email, by posting a notice, or by other reasonable means.
